The Little Star curriculum has been developed and refined over a number of years, and each year we add fresh ideas and themes.

The curriculum

Themes, art and big ideas

Through the year we cover a series of themes across many parts of our daily routine. We explore a variety of arts and crafts, and we make sure our play and activities cover the developmental concepts that matter for children aged 18 months to 5 years.

In our Giraffe class, every morning includes an age-appropriate school readiness activity, so children start Grade R feeling confident.

Typical daily routine

Finishing timesOur Hippo class finishes at 12:00 every day. On Fridays all classes end at 12:00, because the children are tired by the end of the week. If you can only collect at 12:30, that's fine. Our staff will look after and entertain your child until you arrive.

Extra-curricular classes

Optional extras

We offer several extra-curricular activities as optional extras. They run for different groups during the morning and are charged directly by each external provider.
